Bullying & Harassment Prevention

College School District is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive school environment where all students can learn, grow, and participate fully in school life.

The District prohibits bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, and hate violence of any kind. This includes behavior that occurs at school, during school activities, on the way to or from school, through district technology, or in any situation that substantially disrupts a student’s ability to participate in or benefit from the District’s programs and activities.

Bullying and harassment may include verbal, physical, social, or electronic behavior that targets a student or group of students. This may include, but is not limited to, name-calling, threats, spreading rumors, exclusion, physical aggression, cyberbullying, or conduct based on actual or perceived race or ethnicity, color, ancestry, nationality, national origin, immigration status, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, or any other protected characteristic.

Students, families, staff, and community members are encouraged to report concerns as soon as possible. Reports may be made to a teacher, principal, school staff member, or the District Office. The District will review reports promptly and take appropriate steps to address the concern, support impacted students, and help prevent future incidents.

Retaliation against any person who reports bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or hate violence, or who participates in an investigation, is strictly prohibited.
