College Primary School and Santa Ynez Elementary School are exemplary schoolsl, serving kindergarten through eighth grade students on two campuses, located within two blocks of each other. The College Primary campus houses preschool, kindergarten, and first grade classes; the Santa Ynez campus serves second through eighth grades. The schools are located in the small Santa Barbara County community of Santa Ynez and reflect a warm, country atmosphere.

In 2004, the community showed their support by passing a multi-million dollar modernization bond which has allowed the district to significantly improve the physical plant on both campuses. A rigorous standards-based curricular program has been implemented to ensure that all students meet or exceed state and district standards and reach their greatest educational potential.

We celebrate diversity through exceptional learning program, teaching methods and hands-on projects. State test scores have improved significantly in the last few years due, in part, to our commitment to keeping class sizes small. This enables our dedicated and well-trained teachers to provide individualized instruction thereby meeting the needs of all students.
