The District English Learner ("EL") Advisory Committee ("DELAC") is designed to support, with parents, the learning needs of identified EL students in the District. DELAC meets quarterly to review State and Federal program information operational in the College School District.

This Committee further provides an opportunity for EL parents to meet regularly to learn important strategies to support the learning needs of EL students. Flor Del Toro, our District certificated EL Development Specialist, accompanied by Theresa Bruhn, our ELD Instructional Assistant, attend each meeting and present information important to parents. Martha Lorenz, District Administrative Secretary, serves as the contact and coordinator for DELAC meetings. A calendar for this year's DELAC meetings will be sent out at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year.
